Plasma Cutting Fume Extraction

Process Intro

Plasma cutting is a melting process in which a jet of ionized gas at temperatures above 20,000°C is used to melt and expel material from the cut. If not adequately controlled, the fumes, dust, and gases created during plasma cutting pose several risks to operatives. For example, it could cause headaches, eye, nose, and throat irritation, dizziness, and nausea.

Whether you are using a hand-held plasma cutter, a robot, or a CNC, we can provide an efficient fume and dust extraction solution.

Downdraft Table & Blower

When using a hand-held plasma cutter, you can work on our heavy-duty downdraft table to avoid fumes and dust in the air. They come with interchangeable metal blades on the work surface and easy-access metal mesh prefilters to prevent sparks from getting in the ducts.

If you are also using Capture Arms, we can usually use the same blower and dust collector for the whole system, which reduces the overall cost. Otherwise, we will guide you in finding the best vacuum and filtration units.

Extraction Nozzle & Turbine

For robotic and CNC plasma cutting, we offer a line of Teflon fume extraction nozzles that we will fit on your torch. It will make a world of difference in terms of air quality in your factory.

If you are also using fume extraction MIG guns, we can usually use the same turbine and dust collector for the whole system, which reduces the overall cost. Otherwise, we will guide you in finding the best vacuum and filtration units.
